Mughal Miniatures Workshop
What are Mughal Miniatures?
Mughal Miniatures are a stunning celebration of a timeless art form. These miniatures are small, highly detailed, and vibrant paintings that flourished in the Indian Subcontinent from the 16th to 18th centuries under Mughal emperors. Known for intricate detail and rich colors, they typically depict court scenes, portraits, hunts, and historical events.
Camels and Chai Mughal Miniatures Workshop
Participants used painter's tape to create a precise, elegant border - a signature element of the intricate paintings once crafted in the Mughal imperial courts. From there, everyone painted a fall tree, capturing the warm, rich colors of the season surrounding us. True to the Mughal miniature tradition, we worked with soft, muted tones to reflect the delicate beauty that defines this style.
This workshop was truly special! The finished pieces were breathtaking. Each one a unique interpretation of both a historic art form and the beauty of the season.
