Mughal Miniatures

Tiny Paintings, Big History

Mughal Miniature paintings flourished in the Indian subcontinent between the 16th and 19th centuries, blending Persian, Indian, and Islamic artistic traditions. These works are known for their tiny, intricate details, delicate faces, rich jewel-toned colors, and storytelling scenes of royal courts, gardens, and battles.

For our classes, we capture the elegance of Mughal Miniatures in a simplified, approachable way. Our designs feature recognizable motifs like archways and decorative borders but with larger shapes and guided steps so you can enjoy the process without worrying about microscopic details.

Pakistani Truck Art

Color on Wheels, Joy on Canvas

Pakistani Truck Art is one of the most colorful art forms in the world, transforming ordinary cargo trucks into moving masterpieces. This tradition began in the 1920s and became popular in the 1950s, turning vehicles into mobile works of art filled with bright florals, birds, peacocks, eyes, calligraphy, and geometric borders.

In our classes we focus on bold color palettes, clean floral patterns, and simple decorative borders so you can enjoy layering vivid paints and seeing your work come to life. It’s joyful, expressive, and impossible not to smile at when you’re done!

Kufic Calligraphy

Ancient Script, Modern Geometry

Kufic Calligraphy is one of the oldest and most majestic forms of Arabic script, originating in the 7th century. Recognized for its bold, angular, and geometric character, it was famously used to inscribe the earliest Qurans and adorn grand architectural monuments. Unlike the flowing cursive styles, Kufic is celebrated for its structured power, often blending text with art to create stunning visual patterns.

For our classes, we transform the historic elegance of Kufic into a bold, modern art piece. We guide you through composing a meaningful word or single letter, focusing on its strong lines and balanced forms. Using a simplified, graphic approach and a contemporary color palette, you'll create a striking composition that honors its ancient roots while feeling fresh and personal.
